ESTRELLA DAMM CLOSES THE DONATETHECAN2022 CAMPAIGN WITH A NEW RECYCLING RECORD FOR 5,685 KG.
With the ninth and last consignment of 709 kg. of cans delivered to prezero, the recycling campaign with Estrella Damm and Damm Lemon can compactors in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands has closed 2022 far exceeding five tons of recycled cans.
The exact figure for the end of the DONATETHECAN2022 campaign has been a total of 5,685 kg, which is equivalent to more than half a million recovered and recycled cans.

This is a very positive fact that can be valued taking into account, above all, that the cans that are manufactured are lighter each year and that, currently, the weight of a can does not reach 10 grams.
The aluminum recovered in the Estrella Damm and Damm Lemon can compactors is cleaned, melted, and in a few weeks returned to the market as raw material. This is how, together, we close the virtuous circle of the circular economy.
Reduce, reuse and, as a last option, recycle.
